Meet Mr Ahmed-Ramadan Sadek

Mr Ahmed-Ramadan Sadek MBBS BSc(Hons) DPhil(Oxon) FRCS(SN) is a neurosurgeon who specialises in conditions of the spine. He created Spinemathema so that his patients, and anyone else living with a back or neck problem, have a trusted place to learn about their condition at their own pace.

Why Spinemathema

Patients often ask for reliable information they can come back to after a clinic appointment. Spinemathema brings that together in one place: short videos, plain English guides, podcasts and summaries of the research that shapes spinal care. It is written for patients first. It is not a booking site and it is not an advert.

Beyond the clinic

Mr Sadek is an invited speaker at national and international meetings, including the Fortius spine conference. He is also passionate about community education, helping members of the public understand their health, and teaching first aid and what to do in a medical emergency to local Cub Scouts. Away from work he loves spending time with his family, and you will find him at parkrun, playing padel, kitesurfing or enjoying a good coffee.

Current roles

  • Clinical Lead for the Department of Neurosurgery, Queens Hospital, Romford (Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust)
  • Spinal Lead for the NHS England North East London and Essex Spinal Network
  • Responsible Officer, Fortius Clinic London

He is also completing an Executive MBA at Arden University.

GMC registration number: 6155997 (opens the medical register). Independent information about his private practice, including patient feedback and fees, is published by the Private Healthcare Information Network on his PHIN profile.
